A “Caldas da Rainha” Majolica Platter
A rare 19th century Portuguese Palissy-ware majolica wall-hanging platter, decorated with an assortment of fruit, including a segmented fig. The plates are stamped in the rear by the renown maker: Herculano Elias. Area of Caldas da Rainha, Portugal, circa 1900.
