An important French Napoleon III Mirror

A tall and exceptionally wide, mid 19th century French Napoleon III period, Louis XIV style mirror, the gilt and off-white painted frame decorated with 'continuous-ribbon' and gadrooned motifs. The pediment has a large central 'crossed quiver and torch' motif (an allegory for Passion and Intelligence), framed by a laurel wreath and foliate motifs (an allegory for Success). Retaining its original mirror plate. Area of Paris, circa 1860.
Condition report: Complete and in good, unrestored condition.
