A large French Refectory Table

An exceptional, 19th century French Louis XIV style extending refectory table standing on massive baluster legs joined by a central stretcher decorated with arches and turned baluster uprights. The oak parquetry table top and the extensions with a good and luminous patination. This table will seat 10 when closed, and up to 14 people when fully extended. Area of Isle de France (Greater Paris), circa 1870.
Condition report: In good and un-restored condition. Some damage to the parquetry on the tabletop, which our workshop can repair with similar, old oak timber.
Dimensions: Width 100 cm, length 230 cm extending to 350 cm.
