A Terracotta Group by Clodion

A fine 19th century French terracotta sculpture, after Clodion, (Claude Michel Clodion 1738 – 1814), depicting a young female faun playing with two Bacchante cherubs, one holding a goblet. Signed on the plinth “Clodion”. Area of Paris, circa 1860.
Condition report: In good and un-restored condition. An old repair to the cherub's arm holding the goblet will be repaired to invisible standard on arrival in Melbourne.
Dimensions: Diameter 25 cm, height 54 cm.
